Artist Biography

This artist now resides in northern New Mexico, a place that has attracted artists for many decades. The quality of light, the rugged mountains, the rich history and blend of cultures found in this area make New Mexico her home of choice.

A native Kentuckian, she studied and received her B.A. degree at the University of Kentucky in the lush Bluegrass region of central Kentucky. She received her M.A. degree from Spalding University in Louisville.

Trained in the fields of English Literature, Education and Counseling, Beverly has worked many years with families and children. She continues to have a successful career in non-profit and charitable arenas.

A natural artist, Beverly has painted and sketched her entire life. She has been fortunate to have the opportunity to study with a number of seasoned, successful artists over the years, including nationally known oil pastel artist, Carol Anthony. Beverly’s work has been exhibited in Santa Fe galleries and she has also been selected for participation in regional group shows.

Interested in and touched by the natural environment and its current, tragic challenges, Beverly has created, in addition to her photography and other works, a series of landscapes entitled The Endangered Landscapes Series. Desiring to capture the beauty of fragile and disappearing scenes, she has depicted woodlands, grasslands, and coastal areas that are subtly and gently lit at dawn or dusk. More whispers than shouts, these expressions are a soft, fine voice for our precious and delicate environment.

Beverly strongly believes that creativity and intuition are intrinsically linked and further, believes that the blockage or denial of one, can deplete and diminish the other. She enjoys working with creative people of all backgrounds to facilitate the clearing of blocks and the development of enlivened intuition to enhance all forms of creative work. This belief has led to the development of The Soft Sight Workshops, Intuition Development for Creative People, in Santa Fe.
